About
Lon Harte...
Lon was
born on March 8th,1951 in Los Angeles, CA. Always
artistic throughout his life, Lon passed through the
typical educational and vocational transitions leaving
behind a legacy of creativity. He was raised and
received his early education in the San Fernando Valley.
During the 1960's and 70's he traveled around Northern
California, spent time as a road technician for several
musical groups, and was also employed creating
hand-tooled leather and suede products. In later years
he worked as a creative consultant, professional
illustrator, and also continued his education. Whatever
Lon found himself involved in, you could count on it
being a creative endeavor.
It was in the 1990's that much of the volume of work
that exists today was created.
With the advent of the Macintosh computer and the
various digital art programs that Lon's imagination was
allowed to blossom into an awesome set of skills. Not
limited by the conventional, restrictive mediums, Lon's
imagination took flight and, as you can tell from the
artwork displayed on this web site, reached for entirely
new horizons of creativity and inventiveness.
At the time of his passing, on January 26, 2001, he
resided in Palmdale, CA in the Antelope Valley.
